Cemetery desecration continues in Florida. A Royal Palm Beach man has been charged with stealing more than $14,000 worth of brass cemetery vases.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office reports that 29-year-old Shaun Beasley was arrested Friday after trying to sell the vases to a local recycling company.
The vases were reported stolen Thursday night from the Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery. A detective began calling recycling companies Friday and learned that two men had offered to sell 70 vases to one of the companies.
Surveillance footage of a license plate at the cemetery led detectives to Beasley. A search of his home allowed deputies to find 61 vases, worth about $230 each.
Beasley was charged with theft and dealing in stolen property. He was being held on $5,000 bail. If your loved one has been the victim of cemetery desecration be sure to call an experienced cemetery lawer.
